Things To Do

Our Lady of the Rocks

Our Lady of the Rocks is one of two islets off the coast of Perast in the Bay of Kotor and is an artificial island created with rocks and by sinking old, seized ships loaded with rocks. A custom known as fašinada remains to this day. On the 22nd of July every year, at sunset, citizens of Perast take their boats and throw rocks into the sea.

OSTROG MONASTERY

The Monastery of Ostrog is a monastery of the Serbian Orthodox Church, placed against a near vertical background, high up in the large rock of Ostroška Greda, dedicated to Saint Basil of Ostrog, who is buried there. There is a superb view of the Bjelopavlići plain from the monastery founded in the 17th century.
