Things To Do

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Palace of Holyroodhouse, commonly known as Holyrood Palace, is the official Scottish residence of the British Monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. Founded as a monastery in 1128, the palace as it stands today was built between 1671–1678 and is associated with historical figures, such as Bonnie Prince Charlie and Mary Queen of Scots. State occasions and official entertaining are its current utilisation.

Cabaret Voltaire

Dominating Edinburgh’s skyline from its position on Castle Rock, Edingburgh castle is a fortress full of military and royal history. Although still partly in military use, it is now a visitor attraction. Since medieval times, there has been a fort present on Castle Rock, making it the oldest fortified palace in Europe.
