ARUBA

A tiny gem of a Dutch Caribbean island situated off the coast of Venezuela, with miles of spectacular sandy beaches accompanied by the breathtaking Caribbean Sea and a host of luxury resorts, Aruba is a fusion. The desert meets the beautiful waters of the Caribbean. Unlike most of the Caribbean, it has a dry arid climate, making it a winning choice for guests of Defoes Lifestyle who wish to guarantee a relaxing break with warm, dry weather.

Venture away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts and town centres, and you will find sparsely populated beaches where the crystal clear waters are bursting with an abundance of exotic sea life. It is a snorkelers, and divers dream, with underwater attractions including shipwrecks and plane wrecks. The constant breeze offers excellent wind and kitesurfing opportunities for those looking to indulge in their thrill-seeking side.

Snorkeling

Step aboard a catamaran charted by Defoes Lifestyle and sail along Aruba’s coast, enjoying island views on the way to Boca Catalina, a tranquil bay with a shallow coral reef. Dive in to see grouper, parrotfish, and angelfish among the coral formations. Stop at Malmok Beach, situated between two dramatic limestone cliffs and use fish food to attract hundreds of different species. Travel onwards to the SS Antilla, one of the Caribbean’s largest shipwrecks at 400 feet (120 meters), now home to an array of coral, fish, and other marine life, making it a magnificent dive site.
